Are Deep Fryers Really That Healthy For Our Bodies?

Hello there fellow New Zealanders. Today, we have a special blog post from Matthew Daniels, a leading fitness and nutritional expert. Since he first started his career back in 1972, he has been educating the country on how to eat better and more healthily. Matthew believes that through eating, we’re able to lose massive amounts of weight without the need for rigorous exercise. He has appeared in numerous publications and TV shows around the world, and we thought it would only be right to invite him along for a blog post. Today, he’s going to be talking about Deep Fryers, and whether or not they are healthy for our bodies. We all know what a Deep Fat Fryer is, and we all probably have one. But, do you really think they are healthy? As Matthew is about to explain, losing weight while eating deep fried food is a definite no-go area. For the record, Matthew also runs a site, Deep Fryer Reviews, found at http://www.deepfryerreviewz.com/

Deep fryers are an excellent appliance for frying foods. They effectively allow you cook up big batches of tasty food in a little period time. Deep Fryers give fried food that sharp texture that you notice, as well as an attractive brown color. Additionally, Deep Fryers are also notorious for producing a rather delicious taste. With a Deep Fryer, you can easily dispose of hot oil and grease. In fact, Deep Fryers are one of the safest kitchen appliances that can be found in a home environment (according to a study published in 2006). Deep Fryers are awesome for frying up and cooking up delicious food. This is because the Deep Fryer effectively encapsulates all of the oil into the food. Deep Fryers are really simple to use too. All that you need to do usually is flick a switch, set the temperature and wack the food in. However, a first-time user may need some pointers and tips before jumping in - as splashing hot oil can of course, be dangerous. One Deep Fryer in particular that I’ve always recommended to my friends is the Aroma ADF-232. It has plenty of safety features, and it won’t leave you with a scalding arm pit after you’ve splashed yourself with burning oil - that’s for sure.

There are deep fryers structured for use at home, although most of them seem to be catered for commercial use. This is perhaps because using a Deep Fryer hasn’t really caught on yet in New Zealand. They are primarily kitchen appliances which have been used in America and the UK, although they are now starting to appear on the NZ market. Deep fryers are great for the environment, as they produce less toxic waste than using a conventional ovens. By reusing oil, you are going to reduce the waste and help the planet - not that anybody seems to care about our planet anymore (ha). There are different sizes of deep fryers available on the marketplace, depending on what you need.

As with anything though that tastes delicious, it’s also important to look at whether a Deep Fryer is right for you and your family. They are great appliances, but they will quickly get you putting on weight. If you rely on a Deep Fryer to cook food each and everyday, then you’re going to become overweight - plain and simple. Eat deep fried foods in moderation and keep a close eye on your weight and daily activities. I typically eat deep fried foods twice a week, and I find that’s a great balance.
